Rep. Mike Harris, R-Waterford, has scheduled a local community office hour for Monday, Nov. 21.
The session is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. in the Business Center Conference Room of the Clarkston Independence District Library, located at 6495 Clarkston Road in Clarkston.
Harris currently represents the 43rd District in the Michigan House of Representatives, which includes Clarkston, Lake Angelus, Independence Township and part of Waterford Township in Oakland County. When the new Legislature convenes in January, he will represent the 52nd District covering many of the same communities.
Residents may contact the Lansing office at (517) 373-0615 or [email protected].
“These shocking revelations set off alarm bells about Chair Witwer’s business ties and possible conflicts of interest, and they clearly illustrate the need for greater transparency and stronger ethical standards in Michigan government,” said Harris, R-Waterford.
“Countless Michiganders carry concealed weapons to defend themselves and their families, and unelected commissioners shouldn’t unilaterally take that right away in the Capitol that belongs to the people of our state,” said Harris, R-Waterford.
