State Rep. Tom Kunse on Tuesday urged anyone looking for help after a tornado touched down in Clare County last Friday to contact his office. The tornado traveled roughly 12 miles from Lake George to southeast of Harrison.
The EF-1 tornado touched down at 4:57 p.m. and was on the ground for 34 minutes. Reported damage includes hundreds of downed trees, some of which landed on nearby homes and roads. The tornado had an estimated top wind speed of 95 mph.
“Anyone who is left picking up the pieces after this tornado should know they’re not alone,” said Kunse, R-Clare. “I may not have all the solutions, but my staff and I can be the first point of contact for folks looking for answers. If someone at the state can help, we’ll make sure you know who to call.”
Kunse said that anyone who needs assistance can reach out to his office for help. He noted that while his office may not be able to solve every problem, they can help direct people to the right place. The office can be reached by phone at 517-373-7317 or by email at [email protected].
